This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets PPP1R1B (also known as DARPP-32), selectively recognizing the protein when phosphorylated at threonine 75. The Thr75 phospho-site sits at a key regulatory node of dopaminergic signaling: while PKA-mediated phosphorylation at Thr34 converts DARPP-32 into a high-potency inhibitor of protein phosphatase 1 (PP1), CDK5-driven modification at Thr75 instead renders DARPP-32 an inhibitor of PKA, shaping the duration and direction of dopamine responses in striatal medium spiny neurons.

Supplied as 200 µl of polyclonal IgG in liquid format and validated for immunofluorescence workflows on human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent supports neuroscience research into addiction, Parkinson's disease, and schizophrenia by allowing researchers to map CDK5 kinase activity in striatal regions including the dorsal caudate-putamen and nucleus accumbens.

The reagent is provided at 200 µl per vial, unconjugated for direct pairing with fluorophore or HRP conjugates chosen by the end user, and is intended for research use only.
