PPP1R13B, also known as ASPP2, is a key regulator of apoptosis that binds the tumor suppressor p53 and modulates its transcriptional activity toward pro-apoptotic target genes. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is validated for Western blot detection of endogenous PPP1R13B in human, mouse, and rat samples.

The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl liquid stock at approximately 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH ~7.4, with 0.05% sodium azide included as a preservative. Because the formulation contains sodium azide, the reagent should not be added directly to peroxidase-based detection cocktails in solution or used for live-cell staining applications. For Western blot, working dilutions are typically optimized empirically for each lysate preparation, transfer condition, and blocking system.

Researchers studying p53 signaling, DNA damage responses, and apoptosis pathways in cancer cell models use this reagent to probe ASPP2 expression and isoform patterns across cultured cell lines and tissue lysates. The polyclonal nature of the antibody supports recognition of multiple epitopes on PPP1R13B, which is useful when investigating alternative splicing variants or post-translational modifications of the target protein. Short-term storage is at refrigerated temperatures; for longer-term use, aliquot and freeze at -20°C and avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles of the working stock.
