Raised in rabbit against the protein phosphatase 1 catalytic subunit beta (PPP1CB), this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as an unconjugated antibody at 1 mg/mL in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant. The 100 µL aliquot provides enough material for multiple lanes of Western blot, immunofluorescence, and immunohistochemistry experiments across human, mouse, and rat samples.

PPP1CB is a serine/threonine phosphatase involved in glycogen metabolism, cell cycle progression, and the regulation of muscle contractility, making this antibody useful for signal transduction research, studies of PP1 deregulation in cancer, and characterization of PPP1CB expression in normal versus diseased tissues. Because the reagent is unconjugated, researchers can pair it with their preferred secondary detection systems, including HRP-conjugated antibodies for Western blot, fluorophore-labeled secondaries for immunofluorescence, or biotin-streptavidin amplification for immunohistochemistry.

The polyclonal nature of the reagent increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the target, which is advantageous when probing denatured proteins on Western blots or fixed tissue sections. Each lot is validated for reactivity with the three species indicated, and the glycerol-based formulation supports stable storage under standard laboratory freezer conditions.
