Raised in rabbit against PPM1D (also known as WIP1, wild-type p53-induced phosphatase 1, or PP2C-delta), this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com enables Western blot detection of the endogenous phosphatase in human, mouse, and rat sample lysates. PPM1D is a serine/threonine phosphatase of the PP2C family that is transcriptionally induced by p53 after genotoxic stress and serves as a homeostatic feedback regulator, dephosphorylating key DNA damage response substrates such as ATM, Chk1, Chk2, p53, and γH2AX. Published studies have linked PPM1D overexpression and gene amplification in tumors to checkpoint recovery, attenuation of p53 signaling, and oncogenic transformation, positioning the phosphatase as a target of interest in cancer biology, genotoxic stress response, and signal transduction research.

The reagent is supplied as 100 µL of liquid in a single vial. For continuous use, store at -20 °C and prepare working aliquots to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and preserve IgG activity. As an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal primary antibody, it can be paired with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents in standard immunoblotting workflows.
