This unconjugated polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com targets PPIL1 (Peptidyl-Prolyl Cis-Trans Isomerase Like 1), a cyclophilin-family peptidyl-prolyl isomerase that functions as a component of the human spliceosome. Raised in a rabbit host and affinity-purified, the antibody is supplied as 100 µl of liquid stock and is validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human and mouse samples.

PPIL1 associates with the tri-snRNP and contributes to pre-mRNA splicing catalysis, making this reagent useful for studies of RNA processing, spliceosome assembly, and U4/U6·U5 tri-snRNP recycling. It has also been investigated in HIV-1 biology, where PPIL1 is incorporated into viral particles, and in neurodevelopmental research linking certain spliceosomal PPIases to pontocerebellar hypoplasia.

Because the host species is rabbit and the conjugate is unconjugated, the antibody is compatible with standard anti-rabbit IgG secondary reagents and common chromogenic or fluorescent detection chemistries. Researchers can use it to probe endogenous PPIL1 expression in cell lysates by Western blot or to localize the protein in fixed tissue sections by immunohistochemistry, supporting workflows in molecular biology, cell biology, and neuroscience laboratories.
