This polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com, raised in rabbit, recognizes endogenous PPIE (peptidyl-prolyl isomerase E, also called cyclophilin E or CyP-33), the ~33 kDa cyclophilin-family enzyme that catalyzes cis-trans isomerization of proline peptide bonds and contributes to the U4/U6.U5 tri-snRNP spliceosomal complex. Supplied as an unconjugated IgG in a 50 µL vial, it is validated for western blot and immunoprecipitation on human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of pre-mRNA splicing dynamics, chaperone-assisted protein folding, and the nuclear roles of cyclophilin-family isomerases.

For western blot, a working dilution of 1:500-1:2000 with 25 µg of whole-cell or nuclear lysate per lane is recommended; for immunoprecipitation, validation data show clean pull-down of endogenous PPIE from 200 µg of HeLa extract using 1 µg of antibody. Store aliquots at -20°C and minimize freeze-thaw cycles to preserve reagent activity; the vial is shipped in liquid form and should be thawed on ice before first use.

Typical uses include probing spliceosomal assembly intermediates in nuclear fractions, monitoring PPIE redistribution after splicing inhibition or heat shock, and IP-MS characterization of cyclophilin-containing ribonucleoprotein complexes. Cross-reactivity with mouse and rat orthologs makes the antibody useful for comparative experiments in cell lines, primary cultures, and tissue homogenates.
