The Antibodies.com rabbit polyclonal Anti-PPIB Antibody is an unconjugated primary reagent raised against Cyclophilin B (Peptidylprolyl Isomerase B), a 216-amino-acid enzyme of the endoplasmic reticulum that catalyzes cis-trans isomerization of proline peptide bonds and supports collagen folding as part of the prolyl-3-hydroxylation complex.
Validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, this polyclonal reagent detects the endogenous ER-resident chaperone in cell and tissue lysates as well as in formalin-fixed tissue sections, supporting studies of connective tissue biology, collagen biosynthesis, and ER stress responses.
PPIB is the gene mutated in autosomal recessive osteogenesis imperfecta type IX, so this antibody is frequently used as a marker in bone fragility, skeletal dysplasia, and prolyl hydroxylase research. It is supplied as a 100 µL liquid aliquot of rabbit IgG, unconjugated and preservative-stabilized, and ships ready to dilute into standard blocking and washing protocols for immunoblotting and chromogenic IHC.
