The PPARD target (Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Delta, also known as PPARβ/δ) is a nuclear receptor transcription factor that regulates genes involved in fatty acid oxidation, mitochondrial biogenesis, glucose homeostasis, and inflammatory signaling. Aberrant PPARD activity has been linked to metabolic syndrome, atherosclerosis, wound healing, and several cancers, which keeps the protein in active academic and translational study.

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com at 1 mg/ml in PBS buffer containing 0.1% sodium azide as preservative and 50% glycerol as cryoprotectant, packaged as a 100 µl vial sufficient for numerous blotting, staining, and imaging experiments.

Validated applications include Western blot on cell and tissue lysates, immunohistochemistry on fixed sections, and immunofluorescence microscopy on cultured cells and frozen tissue. The antibody has been characterized for reactivity with Human, Mouse, and Rat samples, supporting both rodent disease models and human specimen research.

For handling, aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store the vial at -20 °C; the buffered glycerol formulation also tolerates short-term use at 4 °C. Keep the solution protected from light during extended storage. This reagent is supplied for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic procedures.
