Produced by Antibodies.com as a mouse monoclonal IgG reagent, this unconjugated antibody recognises peroxisome proliferator-activated receptor alpha (PPARA), a ligand-activated nuclear transcription factor that governs fatty acid transport, mitochondrial and peroxisomal β-oxidation, peroxisomal biogenesis, and hepatic lipid homeostasis. Clone A1376 is reactive with Human and Mouse tissue, supporting translational studies that bridge murine disease models with patient-derived material in research use only settings.

Validated across four orthogonal detection platforms — Western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry — the antibody enables coherent protein-level readouts from a single clone. Each vial contains 100 µL of unconjugated IgG, allowing direct labelling in custom conjugation workflows or use with standard secondary reagents in immunostaining and cytometry. Storage at -20 °C in working aliquots preserves binding activity, with limited freeze-thaw tolerance for short-term experimental use.

Common applications include characterising PPARα agonists such as fenofibrate and WY-14643, profiling PPARα-dependent transcriptional programmes in hepatocyte and cardiomyocyte systems, and investigating cross-talk between lipid metabolism and inflammatory signalling in metabolic disease, dyslipidaemia, type 2 diabetes, and cardiovascular pathophysiology research.
