Raised in rabbit hosts and antigen affinity-purified, this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com binds the internal region of human phosphatidic acid phosphatase type 2A (PPAP2A), an integral membrane glycoprotein that dephosphorylates lipid second messengers such as phosphatidic acid, ceramide-1-phosphate, lysophosphatidic acid, and sphingosine-1-phosphate. The antibody detects endogenous levels of total PPAP2A protein and is supplied at 1.3 mg/mL in a 100 µL vial formulated in PBS at pH 7.3 with 0.05% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Validation data on the manufacturer's product page show a clean band on 10% SDS-PAGE using 30 µg of human liver cancer tissue lysate per lane with a 1/650 primary dilution and a 1/8000 secondary dilution at a 1 second exposure, alongside a clear signal on paraffin-embedded human breast cancer tissue at 1/40 in immunohistochemistry. The unconjugated format lets investigators pair the reagent with HRP, biotin, or fluorophore-labeled secondary antibodies of their choice for chromogenic western blot, immunofluorescence, or staining protocols on whole-cell lysates and tissue sections, supporting studies of lipid signaling, membrane phospholipid remodeling, and tumor microenvironment biology. For handling, aliquot upon arrival and store at -20 °C to preserve activity across repeated freeze-thaw cycles, while working dilutions may be kept refrigerated for short-term use. The reagent is intended for research use only and is dispatched from St. Louis, MO.
