Anti-PPA1 Antibody

A polyclonal primary antibody raised in rabbit and offered by Antibodies.com is directed against the human PPA1 target. The immunogen used for immunisation is recombinant full-length human PPA1, and the reagent specifically detects endogenous levels of PPA1 protein in human, mouse and rat samples. Validated applications include Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC).

The antibody is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. Affinity purification from rabbit antiserum using an epitope-specific immunogen yields a preparation of greater than 95% purity as determined by SDS-PAGE, with an observed molecular weight of approximately 32 kDa.

PPA1 encodes inorganic pyrophosphatase 1, an intracellular enzyme belonging to the metabolic protein family. The protein shows low tissue specificity and a vesicular subcellular localisation, with the corresponding human gene mapped to chromosome 10.
