This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against protein phosphatase 2A catalytic subunit alpha (PPP2CA) phosphorylated on tyrosine 307, a modification that inactivates the holoenzyme and is widely used as a read-out of PP2A regulation in signaling, cell-cycle and apoptosis studies. Because the reagent is phospho-specific, it selectively reports the inactive pool of PP2A in cell lysates and tissue sections, supporting work on pathways where PP2A opposes kinases such as ERK, Akt and Src.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated antisera at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH approximately 7.2, with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative. The antibody has been validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human, mouse and rat samples. Store frozen at -20 °C in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light during handling.

Researchers commonly apply this reagent to monitor PP2A reactivation after okadaic acid or ceramide treatment, to track oxidative-stress-induced inactivation, and to map PP2A-alpha phosphorylation in tumor versus matched normal tissue. Host: rabbit; clonality: polyclonal; target: phospho-Y307 PP2A-alpha. For research use only.
