Anti-PP1A / PPP1CA (N-terminus) Antibody

Sourced through Antibodies.com, this mouse monoclonal reagent is raised against the N-terminus of PP1A (PPP1CA), the catalytic alpha subunit of serine/threonine-protein phosphatase 1, and is intended for researchers studying phosphatase signalling, cell-cycle regulation and PPP1CA-associated pathways. The clone is supplied as 50 µl of purified antibody in a buffer containing 0.1 M Tris-Glycine (pH 7.4) with 150 mM NaCl, 0.2 % sodium azide and 50 % glycerol, and the product is unconjugated, of the IgG1 isotype, and reactivity-confirmed on human samples. Recommended applications are Western blotting (WB), immunohistochemistry (IHC) and immunocytochemistry (ICC), with a typical WB dilution of 1:1000 and an observed band at the predicted molecular weight of 38 kDa. For best stability, the vial should be stored at –20 °C, thawed aliquots kept refrigerated at 2–8 °C and used within two weeks. Each lot is affinity-purified by antigen-affinity chromatography to > 95 % purity (SDS-PAGE), and the immunogen corresponds to a recombinant fragment of human PPP1CA covering amino acids 2–286 at the N-terminus, ensuring specific detection of endogenous PP1A without appreciable cross-reactivity to related proteins.
