This unconjugated mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody from Antibodies.com binds the N-terminal region of PP1A, the catalytic alpha subunit of serine/threonine protein phosphatase 1 encoded by the PPP1CA gene. Supplied as 100 µl of liquid in a vial, it is validated for Western blot and immunocytochemistry and shows reactivity with human, rat, mouse, and rabbit samples, supporting cross-species comparative work in basic cell biology and signalling research.

PP1A functions as a broadly expressed phosphatase that counterbalances kinase activity by dephosphorylating substrates linked to glycogen metabolism, mitotic transitions, and cytoskeletal control. Because the reagent recognises an N-terminal epitope, it can be paired with antibodies raised against internal or C-terminal regions of the same target when epitope-distinct detection is desired, and it is suitable for analysing both full-length and processed forms of the phosphatase.

Standard refrigeration storage is recommended, and aliquoting upon first use helps minimise freeze-thaw cycles. As a research-use-only reagent, the unconjugated format gives users full flexibility to choose HRP, fluorophore, or biotin-based secondary detection systems in ICC and WB workflows.
