Anti-POU2F1 Antibody

This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody targets POU2F1 (also referred to as Oct-1 or OTF-1), a member of the POU-homeodomain family of transcription factors that recognizes the octamer DNA motif 5'-ATGCAAAT-3'. Supplied by Antibodies.com as a 100 µl liquid aliquot, the reagent is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows and is reactive against human, mouse, and rat samples.

POU2F1 is a ubiquitously expressed transcription factor implicated in the regulation of immunoglobulin promoters, small nuclear RNA genes, histone acetylation, and inducible loci associated with cellular stress and hormone signaling. It has also been studied in the context of viral promoter activity. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes across the target, supporting detection in denatured lysates on Western blot and in formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue sections by IHC.

For day-to-day use, keep the vial refrigerated and protected from light; for longer storage, aliquot and freeze to limit freeze-thaw damage. The unconjugated format gives end users flexibility to conjugate the antibody to a custom reporter, fluorophore, or enzyme label of their choice.
