POMGNT2 (Protein O-Mannosyl N-Acetylglucosaminyltransferase 2) is a Golgi-resident glycosyltransferase that initiates the elongation of the O-mannose glycan chain on alpha-dystroglycan, a modification required for laminin binding and proper functioning of the dystrophin-glycoprotein complex in skeletal muscle and the central nervous system.

Loss-of-function mutations in POMGNT2 cause dystroglycanopathies, including Walker-Warburg syndrome and muscle-eye-brain disease, making this protein a relevant research target for studies of congenital muscular dystrophy, neuronal migration disorders, and basement membrane assembly.

This Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody was raised in rabbit and is supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation in a 100 µL vial, validated for immunofluorescence workflows on human samples. Researchers apply it to localize endogenous POMGNT2 in fixed cells and tissue sections, complementing expression studies of the dystroglycan glycosylation pathway and investigations of neuromuscular junction biology.
