POLR3G is the gamma subunit of RNA Polymerase III, the multi-subunit enzyme responsible for transcribing small structural RNAs such as tRNAs, 5S rRNA, and U6 snRNA in eukaryotic cells. The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody is raised in rabbit and recognizes the human POLR3G protein while cross-reacting with mouse and rat orthologs, enabling direct comparative work across standard mammalian model systems. The reagent is supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 15 mM sodium azide as a preservative, with a packaging volume of 100 µl per vial in an unconjugated format.

For Western blot detection, samples are resolved by SDS-PAGE electrophoresis, transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes, and probed at an empirically determined working dilution. Researchers studying RNA Polymerase III subunit composition, transcriptional regulation, stress-induced Pol III reactivation, and reported links to oncogenesis have used anti-POLR3G reagents in published studies. Store the antibody at -20 °C, and for routine use keep small aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles; sodium azide handling precautions should be observed. The unconjugated format permits flexible pairing with HRP, alkaline phosphatase, or fluorescent secondary antibodies depending on the chosen detection platform. For research use only; not intended for diagnostic applications.
