Raised against human POLR3A — the catalytic core of RNA polymerase III — this unconjugated IgG polyclonal antiserum from Antibodies.com supports Western blot detection of the largest Pol III subunit.

POLR3A (RNA Polymerase III Subunit A) transcribes small structural RNAs including 5S rRNA, tRNAs, U6 snRNA, and several small nucleolar RNAs. Investigating Pol III subunit composition has been central to studies of transcription regulation, ribosome biogenesis, and stress-response signaling, while biallelic POLR3A mutations underpin the hypomyelinating leukodystrophy known as 4H syndrome, making reliable detection a research priority for neuroscience and neurogenetics groups working on rare leukodystrophies.

Host species: Rabbit. Clonality: Polyclonal. Isotype: IgG. Conjugate: Unconjugated. Species reactivity: Human. Validated application: Western blot (WB). Supplied as a 100 µL vial of unconjugated antiserum appropriate for standard chemiluminescent Western blot protocols. Storage: refrigerate the vial; for longer term storage, aliquot to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles and protect the reagent from light when working with fluorescent secondary detection.

This Antibodies.com reagent is intended for research use only and provides a 100 µL aliquot that supports probing of POLR3A expression across human cell lines, patient-derived lymphoblastoid lines, and tissue lysates used in leukodystrophy and transcription factor research programs.
