Raised in rabbit against POLR2K (also called RPB12, RPABC4, or ABC10-alpha), this unconjugated polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com ships as a 100 µl liquid vial validated for Western blot detection of the small zinc ribbon–containing subunit shared by RNA Polymerases I, II, and III. The 58-amino-acid protein contributes to the Rpb4/Rpb7 stalk of the 12-subunit Pol II holoenzyme, sits at the Rpb3-mediated assembly interface, and serves as the docking site for the RTF1 Plus3 domain in the complete Pol II elongation complex (UniProt P53803, gene mapped to human chromosome 8). Endogenous POLR2K is detected at approximately 7 kDa in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting studies of transcription-coupled chromatin regulation, promoter open complex formation, and Rpb12-dependent Pol II assembly states in nuclear extracts.

For Western blot, primary antibody working concentrations of 0.5–2 µg/mL are typical with 5% non-fat milk or BSA in TBST as blocker and an HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary. Store at -20 °C in small working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and keep the buffered glycerol formulation on wet ice during transit. The 100 µl vial provides ample reagent for multiple membranes and is for research use only.
