POLR2H (also known as RPB8) is the eighth subunit of RNA Polymerase II and a shared component of RNA Polymerases I and III, supporting transcription of protein-coding genes, snRNAs, and select rRNAs. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com enables Western blot profiling of POLR2H across Human, Mouse, and Rat lysates.

Supplied as 50 µl in a vial at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, the reagent is provided as a ready-to-use stock for standard immunoblotting workflows. The polyclonal format allows recognition of multiple epitopes on POLR2H, improving signal robustness when probing diverse sample preparations such as whole-cell lysates, nuclear extracts, and tissue homogenates.

Typical research applications include studies of transcription-coupled DNA repair, in which stalled RNA Polymerase II recruits nucleotide excision repair factors, investigations of polymerase subunit expression in cancer cell models, and characterization of subunit stoichiometry within chromatin-associated complexes. Researchers studying gene expression regulation, co-transcriptional RNA processing, and nuclear mRNA quality control rely on this antibody in published and ongoing studies.
