POLR2F (RNA Polymerase II Subunit F) is the sixth subunit of human RNA polymerase II, the enzyme responsible for transcribing protein-coding genes into messenger RNA. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against POLR2F and validated for Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows. The reagent cross-reacts with human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative studies across model organisms and human tissue. It is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol as a cryoprotectant; store frozen in working-size aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles and protect from light.

The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on the POLR2F subunit, which is useful when probing denatured lysates in WB or fixed sections in IHC, and when localizing the subunit by immunofluorescence in cultured cells. Researchers apply this antibody to investigate transcription-coupled processes, including Pol II promoter pausing, snRNA gene expression, and the assembly of the twelve-subunit Pol II complex. Because the target is a shared core subunit, signal patterns can be interpreted in the context of global Pol II levels rather than isoform-specific regulation.
