This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com specifically recognizes POLR2D, the fourth largest subunit of RNA Polymerase II. As a shared subunit of all three eukaryotic RNA polymerases (Pol I, Pol II, and Pol III), POLR2D contributes to transcription of ribosomal, messenger, transfer, and small nuclear RNAs. The reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and each 100 µl vial supports routine western blot and immunohistochemistry work on human, mouse, and rat specimens. Investigators probing transcription-coupled chromatin remodeling, RNA maturation pathways, and DNA damage-associated transcriptional responses can apply this antibody to whole-cell lysates, tissue sections, and fixed preparations to monitor POLR2D abundance and localization.
