POLR2C encodes the third-largest subunit of RNA polymerase II, the enzyme that synthesizes messenger RNA in eukaryotic cells. The Antibodies.com polyclonal reagent targets this subunit for transcription and gene-expression studies, and is supplied as a 100 µl liquid aliquot. It was raised in rabbit and is provided unconjugated, so users can pair it with their own secondary detection chemistry, including HRP, fluorescent, or biotin-streptavidin systems, depending on the workflow.
The antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry and binds POLR2C in human, mouse, and rat samples. As a polyclonal reagent, it recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which can improve signal consistency in IHC where epitope masking from fixation is common, and can also help when probing denatured protein in WB. The unconjugated format keeps the reagent flexible for laboratories that maintain their own buffer and blocking protocols for chromatin, nuclear extract, or fixed-tissue studies.
