This rabbit polyclonal IgG antibody from Antibodies.com targets POLR1E, the RNA Polymerase I subunit E (also referred to as PAF53 or RPA49), a component of the Pol I transcription machinery that drives ribosomal RNA synthesis in the nucleolus. Supplied as 200 µl of unconjugated sera, the reagent is validated for Western blot detection of the human protein and is raised in rabbit for broad epitope coverage across the target.

POLR1E associates with the Pol I pre-initiation complex and supports transcription of the 45S pre-rRNA precursor, a step that underlies ribosome biogenesis and downstream protein synthesis capacity in actively growing cells. Researchers studying nucleolar function, cancer ribogenesis, or stress responses that remodel rRNA transcription use this reagent to monitor endogenous POLR1E expression in cell lysates by immunoblotting.

For blotting, the antibody is typically applied to whole-cell lysates separated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF membranes, and detected with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents against rabbit IgG. The unconjugated format gives investigators flexibility to pair the primary with their preferred detection chemistry or to use it in multiplex panels alongside other Pol I subunit antibodies. As with all polyclonal reagents, aliquoting upon first thaw helps preserve activity across multiple experiments.
