This rabbit polyclonal antibody targets POLR1C, the catalytic subunit shared by RNA Polymerase I and RNA Polymerase III. These multi-subunit enzymes drive ribosomal RNA transcription and small RNA synthesis in eukaryotic cells, making POLR1C a central player in ribosome biogenesis and nucleolar function. Raised in rabbit and supplied as an unconjugated reagent at 100 µl per vial, the antibody is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence workflows across human, mouse, and rat samples.

Investigators probing rDNA repeat transcription, nucleolar architecture, and Pol I/Pol III complex assembly rely on this reagent to track POLR1C expression and subcellular localization. It is also widely used in studies of Treacher Collins syndrome and related craniofacial developmental disorders, where loss-of-function mutations in POLR1C compromise rRNA production and disrupt neural crest cell development. The polyclonal format increases the likelihood of recognizing multiple epitopes on the target, supporting consistent detection across varied sample preparations.

Provided by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody, the reagent suits cell-based imaging, fixed tissue section staining, and protein-level confirmation of gene expression experiments. Refrigerated storage preserves antibody activity for routine bench use.
