Podoplanin (PDPN) is a heavily O-glycosylated transmembrane sialoglycoprotein recognized for its selective expression on lymphatic endothelium, renal podocytes, and a range of epithelial cell populations. This rabbit-derived polyclonal IgG reagent detects the PDPN target in human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative immunoblotting across these three species. The antibody ships as a 100 µl liquid stock at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is held at -20 °C to minimize freeze-thaw cycles.

Validated for Western blot, the reagent is widely used by research groups investigating tumor-associated lymphangiogenesis, squamous carcinoma progression, mesothelioma pathology, and glomerular filtration barrier biology. Podoplanin's upregulation is documented in several solid tumor types, where PDPN-positive lymphatic vessel density often correlates with metastatic spread, making this target informative for oncology and vascular biology laboratories.

Quality-controlled by Antibodies.com, the unconjugated antibody binds standard secondary detection reagents for chemiluminescent Western blot membranes and is supplied in ready-to-use aliquots that slot directly into routine immunoblotting workflows at Antibodies.com.
