Anti-PMS1 Antibody

Rabbit polyclonal antibody to PMS1, supplied by Antibodies.com as a primary antibody validated for Western Blotting (WB) and Immunohistochemistry (IHC). The unconjugated antibody is raised in rabbit and reacts with Human, Mouse and Rat samples.

The antibody was affinity-purified from rabbit antiserum by affinity-chromatography using an epitope-specific immunogen, with purity greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE. It is formulated at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% Sodium Azide and 50% Glycerol, and detects endogenous levels of PMS1 protein at a molecular weight of approximately 106 kDa. The immunogen is a synthetic peptide corresponding to amino acids 473-518 of Human PMS1.

PMS1 is a homolog of the prokaryotic MutL gene involved in DNA mismatch repair. Along with PMS2, PMS1 has been identified as mutated in the germline of patients with hereditary nonpolyposis colorectal cancer (HNPCC), a setting in which DNA mismatch repair genes such as MSH2 and MLH1 homologs of the bacterial MutS and MutL genes have been studied at high frequency and are associated with microsatellite instability.
