Supplied through Antibodies.com, this affinity-purified reagent is a polyclonal antibody raised in rabbit against phospholipid scramblase 1 (PLSCR1), an interferon- and calcium-induced membrane protein that mediates the transbilayer movement of phosphatidylserine and other phospholipids. The antibody is provided as an unconjugated, liquid preparation supplied in a 50 µl aliquot, intended for use in Western Blotting (WB) and Immunofluorescence (IF) workflows. The host species is rabbit and the clonality is polyclonal, with reactivity confirmed against human samples; reactivity with mouse and rat is predicted based on sequence conservation. The immunogen corresponds to a region of human PLSCR1, and the antibody is purified by antigen-affinity chromatography to a high degree of specificity for endogenous PLSCR1. For short-term use the antibody should be kept at 4 °C, while long-term storage at -20 °C in small working aliquots is recommended to preserve activity, and freeze-thaw cycles should be avoided. Researchers should empirically determine optimal working dilutions for their particular WB and IF protocols. As with all primary antibodies from Antibodies.com, this reagent is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
