PLS3 (Plastin-3, also called T-plastin) is an actin-bundling protein encoded on the X chromosome and investigated as a protective modifier in spinal muscular atrophy and as a marker in several epithelial cancer studies. This Antibodies.com reagent is a rabbit polyclonal antibody raised against human PLS3 and is supplied unconjugated at 100 µl per vial for use in standard immunodetection workflows.

The antibody has been validated for Western blot, where it detects the endogenous ~70 kDa plastin-3 band in cell and tissue lysates, and for immunohistochemistry on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue, producing cytoplasmic staining in epithelial and stromal compartments. Because the host is rabbit and the conjugate is unconjugated, the reagent can be paired with anti-rabbit HRP, alkaline phosphatase, or fluorescent secondaries to support both chromogenic IHC and chemiluminescent Western protocols.

Reactivity is established for human samples. Researchers extending the work to rodent tissue should validate cross-reactivity in their own system. The vial should be kept refrigerated, handled in working aliquots to limit freeze-thaw damage, and is intended for research use only; it has not been approved for diagnostic or therapeutic use.
