Anti-PLOD2 Antibody

PLOD2 (Procollagen-Lysine, 2-Oxoglutarate 5-Dioxygenase 2) is an endoplasmic reticulum-resident lysyl hydroxylase that catalyzes hydroxylation of lysine residues in procollagen, an essential step in collagen cross-linking and extracellular matrix maturation. Dysregulated PLOD2 expression has been reported in fibrosis, connective tissue disorders, and in metastatic spread of several solid tumors including breast and osteosarcoma.

Raised in rabbit and supplied by Antibodies.com as an unconjugated polyclonal reagent, this anti-PLOD2 antibody is validated for western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human samples. Each vial provides 100 µl at 1 mg/ml in PBS with 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol. The unconjugated format gives flexibility in pairing the reagent with secondary antibodies and detection chemistries of choice. Aliquot upon arrival and store frozen at -20°C in working volumes to minimize freeze-thaw cycles and preserve binding activity. Because polyclonal reagents recognize multiple epitopes on the target, the antibody detects endogenous PLOD2 in cell culture lysates and formalin-fixed tissue sections where target abundance may be modest.
