Threonine 210 sits within the activation loop of PLK1, and phosphorylation at this residue marks the catalytically engaged, mitotic form of the kinase. This unconjugated rabbit IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against a synthetic phosphopeptide centered on the T210 site, giving selective detection of active PLK1 in cycling cells rather than the inactive, unphosphorylated pool.

Validated for Western blot at working dilutions typically between 1:500 and 1:2000, the polyclonal format draws on multiple B-cell clones, which broadens epitope coverage around the phospho-threonine and helps when conserved kinases or partially degraded lysates are being probed. PLK1 governs mitotic entry, centrosome maturation, bipolar spindle assembly, and cytokinesis, and aberrantly elevated activity has been reported across many proliferative disorders, so phospho-T210 is widely used in cell cycle research and in studies evaluating small-molecule PLK1 inhibitors.

The 200 µl volume is supplied in a research-grade vial and is sufficient for several dozen standard mini-gel lanes. Upon arrival the antibody should be aliquoted to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles and stored frozen at -20 °C, with short-term use at 4 °C acceptable for active working stocks. Reactivity has been confirmed on human samples; cross-reactivity with other species has not been formally established. For research use only - not for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
