PLIN2 (Perilipin-2), also known as ADRP or adipophilin, is a lipid droplet-coating protein studied extensively in adipocyte biology, hepatic steatosis, atherosclerosis, and lipid metabolism research. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against PLIN2 and supplied as a 100 µl volume, validated for western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows on human and mouse samples.

The polyclonal format provides multi-epitope recognition, which is helpful when probing endogenous PLIN2 expression in whole-cell lysates or fixed tissue sections where single-epitope antibodies may underperform. Researchers use this reagent to monitor lipid droplet accumulation in hepatocytes, foam-cell macrophage models, differentiating 3T3-L1 adipocytes, and a range of tumor lines in which PLIN2 has been linked to aggressive phenotype and altered fatty acid handling. For research use only, the recommended handling is to aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles and to store at -20 °C in a frost-free freezer.
