This polyclonal rabbit IgG reagent targets human plasminogen (PLG), the circulating zymogen that is activated to plasmin during fibrinolysis and that drives fibrin clot dissolution, wound remodeling, and connective tissue turnover. Produced by hepatocytes as a ~92 kDa glycoprotein, PLG is studied for its role in thrombosis risk, inflammatory signaling, tumor invasion, and hepatic biology. From Antibodies.com, this unconjugated preparation is intended for Western blot detection of human PLG in lysates derived from hepatic cell lines, conditioned medium, or whole-cell extracts. The 200 µl liquid volume in a vial provides sufficient material for multiple membrane probing runs at standard 1:500 to 1:2000 working dilutions, depending on target abundance. Researchers working on hemostasis, angiogenesis, or hepatic gene-expression panels can pair this reagent with anti-rabbit HRP secondary antibodies and ECL substrates to resolve full-length plasminogen and its activation fragments. Storage at -20 °C with brief 4 °C use preserves IgG activity across a limited number of freeze-thaw cycles, so aliquoting on first thaw is recommended for long-term use.
