Anti-PLEKHF2 Antibody

A rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com targets the lysosomal scaffolding protein PLEKHF2, also known as Phafin2 or EAPF, which carries an N-terminal pleckstrin homology (PH) domain and a C-terminal FYVE domain, both of which bind phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate on endosomal and lysosomal membranes. The unconjugated primary antibody is affinity-purified and validated for Western blot on whole-cell lysates under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions, supplied at 50 µl in a single-use vial, and is compatible with standard HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondary reagents.

Cross-reactivity has been demonstrated against human, mouse, and rat orthologues (UniProt Q9H8W4, NCBI gene 79666, predicted molecular weight approximately 27.8 kDa), enabling comparative immunoblotting across common laboratory model systems. Researchers apply this reagent to monitor PLEKHF2 expression in studies of PtdIns(3)P-dependent autophagy initiation, TNF-induced apoptosis, RAB5-regulated early endosome fusion, and receptor-trafficking investigations, including the lysosomal Akt–Phafin2 complex described in recent autophagy literature.
