This rabbit polyclonal primary antibody targets PLEKHF2 (also known as Phafin-2, EAPF, and ZFYVE18), a 28 kDa cytoplasmic effector of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate that drives early endosome fusion upstream of RAB5, promotes EGF receptor degradation through the endosomal pathway, and accumulates on lysosomes together with Akt during autophagy induction. The unconjugated IgG reagent is supplied by Antibodies.com as a 200 µl liquid vial raised against a recombinant fusion protein of human PLEKHF2 (UniProt Q9H8W4), and it is validated for western blot detection of endogenous protein across human, mouse, and rat samples, with Jurkat, HEK293T, and K562 whole-cell lysates commonly used as positive controls.

Working dilutions in the 1:1000 to 1:5000 range transfer cleanly to standard PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes probed with HRP- or fluorophore-conjugated secondaries, and the unconjugated format leaves the choice of detection chemistry to the investigator. The reagent is shipped in PBS buffer (pH 7.4) containing roughly 40–50% glycerol and 0.05% sodium azide as a preservative; for long-term use, store the vial at -20°C, aliquot upon first thaw to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and avoid repeated exposure to room temperature. Researchers studying autophagy flux, lysosomal positioning, receptor trafficking, or TNF-induced apoptosis can rely on this reagent to interrogate Phafin-2 biology in cross-species experimental systems.
