Phospholipase C Gamma 2 (PLCG2) is a cytoplasmic signaling enzyme whose activation is marked by phosphorylation at tyrosine 1217. This rabbit polyclonal IgG reagent from Antibodies.com is raised against the human phospho-Y1217 epitope and is supplied as a 200 µl unconjugated liquid preparation suited to immunohistochemistry.

PLCG2 couples B-cell receptor, Fc receptor, and other immune-receptor input to calcium mobilization and downstream kinase cascades, and gain-of-function mutations in PLCG2 are associated with autoinflammatory disease on the PLAID/APLAID spectrum as well as with subtypes of B-cell lymphoma and chronic lymphocytic leukemia. Phospho-specific detection at Y1217 therefore provides a read-out of receptor-driven enzyme engagement in lymphoid tissue, myeloid cells, and disease models.

The antibody cross-reacts with mouse and rat orthologues alongside human samples, supporting comparative work across species in fixed tissue sections. Because the reagent is unconjugated, it can be paired with HRP, alkaline phosphatase, biotin, or fluorescent secondaries selected by the user for chromogenic, tyramide signal amplification, or immunofluorescence workflows.

For handling, aliquot on receipt to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store at -20 °C in a manual defrost freezer; phospho-epitope recognition is best preserved when the antibody is kept frozen between uses and protected from light during working dilutions.
