Phospholipase C beta 2 (PLCβ2) is a key enzyme in the phosphoinositide signaling cascade, coupling activated G-protein-coupled receptors to intracellular calcium mobilization and downstream effector pathways. This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes PLCβ2 and is validated for Western blot detection of the endogenous protein in lysates derived from human, mouse, and rat sources. Raised in rabbit and purified as a polyclonal IgG fraction, the reagent is supplied unconjugated at 1 mg/ml in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS) containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2, packaged as a 100 µl vial.

For immunoblotting, the antibody is used with standard HRP- or fluorescent-conjugated secondary reagents; aliquoting upon receipt is recommended to limit repeated freeze-thaw cycles that can reduce IgG activity. Short-term storage refrigerated; for longer-term stability, freeze working aliquots. The included sodium azide provides antimicrobial protection in the buffered solution. Supplied as a single-use research reagent, this primary antibody is intended for in vitro laboratory use only, supporting studies of G-protein-coupled signaling, B-cell receptor pathways, and phosphoinositide metabolism where PLCβ2 activity is of interest.
