Anti-PKR (K440) Antibody

Raised in rabbit and affinity-purified, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com recognises an epitope surrounding residue K440 of Protein Kinase R (PKR), a double-stranded RNA-activated serine/threonine kinase encoded by EIF2AK2 that phosphorylates eukaryotic initiation factor 2α to suppress translation during viral infection and cellular stress. Supplied at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline (pH 7.2) with 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, the unconjugated antibody is validated for Western blot and immunohistochemistry on human samples, where it detects the approximately 68 kDa PKR band and supports visualisation of kinase expression in cultured cells and formalin-fixed tissue sections. Each vial contains 100 µl of working stock, sufficient for multiple blotting and staining experiments.
