This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes Protein Kinase D (PKD), also known as PKC mu, at an epitope designated Ab-738. The reagent is raised in rabbit and affinity-purified to provide selective binding to endogenous PKD in human, mouse, and rat samples, making it useful for comparative studies across these common research models.

The antibody is supplied as 100 µl of purified IgG in a stabilizing buffer, shipped refrigerated on cold packs or wet ice. For short-term use, store the vial at 4 °C; for longer-term storage, aliquot the antibody and freeze at -20 °C, taking care to limit freeze-thaw cycles. Protect the vial from light and keep it tightly sealed to preserve binding activity throughout the stated shelf life.

Validated applications include Western blot for detection of full-length PKD and its catalytically active fragments, and immunofluorescence on fixed cells to visualize subcellular distribution in compartments such as the Golgi apparatus and plasma membrane, where activated PKD accumulates downstream of G-protein coupled receptor and protein kinase C signaling. The polyclonal format offers broader epitope coverage than a monoclonal reagent, which is helpful when probing post-translational modifications or processing events linked to oxidative stress responses, vesicle trafficking, and cell survival pathways. As a research-use-only primary antibody, it is intended for laboratory investigation of PKD-dependent signaling rather than diagnostic or therapeutic use.
