Anti-PKC β Antibody

This recombinant rabbit monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com recognizes PKC ι, the atypical protein kinase C isoform encoded by the PRKCI gene that governs apical-basal polarity, directional cell migration, endosomal trafficking, and insulin-stimulated GLUT4 translocation. Because the kinase is frequently overexpressed or mislocalized in non-small cell lung cancer, triple-negative breast cancer, and colorectal adenocarcinoma, the reagent is widely used to track polarity loss, transformed-cell invasion, and downstream NF-κB and Rac1 signaling in disease models.

Supplied as 100 µl of unconjugated IgG in 1×TBS (pH 7.4) with 1% BSA, 40% glycerol, and 0.05% sodium azide as preservative, the antibody is validated for Western blot, immunocytochemistry and immunofluorescence on fixed cells, immunohistochemistry on tissue sections, and flow cytometry. Confirmed reactivity covers human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting cross-species work from cultured epithelial lines and primary neurons through to rodent tumor xenografts.
