Anti-PKAα/β cat (V191) Antibody

Raised in rabbit against the catalytic subunits of cyclic-AMP dependent protein kinase A, this polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com is supplied as an unconjugated IgG preparation at 1 mg/ml in phosphate buffered saline containing 0.05% sodium azide at approximately pH 7.2. The antibody was generated against an epitope in the region of residue V191 of the catalytic subunit, allowing it to detect both the alpha and beta isoforms encoded by the PRKACA and PRKACB genes.

Validated for Western blot, immunohistochemistry, and immunofluorescence on human, mouse, and rat samples, the reagent supports studies of cAMP/PKA signaling in cell culture and tissue preparations. The 100 µl format is convenient for multiple staining runs, and the stock is recommended to be stored frozen at -20°C with working aliquots kept refrigerated to limit repeated freeze-thaw exposure. Sodium azide in the buffer should be noted for downstream applications sensitive to this preservative.
