Anti-PIWIL2 Antibody

PIWIL2 (Piwi-like protein 2), alternatively referred to as HILI in human systems, belongs to the Argonaute protein family and participates in piRNA-guided transposon silencing, germline maintenance, and stem cell self-renewal. Dysregulation of this approximately 110 kDa protein has been reported in hepatocellular carcinoma, breast cancer, and other tumor types, supporting its use as a biomarker in cancer and epigenetic research.

The Antibodies.com Anti-PIWIL2 Antibody is a rabbit polyclonal reagent supplied as 100 µL of unconjugated antiserum and validated for Western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) on human samples. The polyclonal backbone allows recognition of multiple epitopes on PIWIL2, which can improve signal consistency across immunoblots and tissue sections where post-translational modification or splice variation may mask individual epitopes.

In Western blot workflows, the antibody detects endogenous PIWIL2 in whole-cell lysates prepared from human cell lines.
