PITX3 is a paired-like homeodomain transcription factor selectively expressed in midbrain dopaminergic neurons and the developing ocular lens, with established roles in mesencephalic dopamine neuron specification and in congenital cataract phenotypes observed in loss-of-function studies. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody, supplied by Antibodies.com as a 50 µl vial of IgG, was raised against the C-terminal region of human PITX3 and is validated for Western blot across human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting comparative work in Parkinson's disease models, dopaminergic pathway screens, and ocular development research. The polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes on the target, which improves detection of low-abundance transcription factor bands on PVDF or nitrocellulose membranes using an HRP-conjugated secondary antibody and chemiluminescent readout. Aliquot the antibody upon arrival, store refrigerated at 4 °C, protect from light, and limit freeze-thaw cycles to preserve titre across repeated experiments.
