This rabbit polyclonal antibody from Antibodies.com targets PITX3, a paired-like homeodomain transcription factor that governs the development of midbrain dopaminergic neurons and the ocular lens. Supplied as 100 µl of IgG polyclonal serum and unconjugated, the reagent allows flexible pairing with secondary antibodies of the researcher's choice. Reactivity has been confirmed against human, mouse, and rat samples, supporting broad cross-species work.

Validated for Western Blot (WB) workflows, the antibody is a useful marker in Parkinson's disease models, where loss of dopaminergic neurons in the substantia nigra is a central research focus. It is also used to study congenital cataract and anterior segment dysgenesis, both linked to PITX3 mutations. For Western Blot, typical sample input is 20–40 µg of total protein from tissue or cell lysate, separated by SDS-PAGE, transferred to nitrocellulose or PVDF, and probed at a working dilution commonly in the 1:500–1:1000 range. Store the vial at -20°C for long-term stability, aliquot on receipt to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles, and keep protected from light until use.
