From Antibodies.com, this rabbit polyclonal reagent specifically recognizes PIN1 only when phosphorylated at serine 16 (phospho-S16), a regulatory modification reported to control the isomerase's conformational state, substrate binding and stability during mitosis. The antibody is supplied as a 100 µl aliquot at 1 mg/ml in PBS containing 0.1% sodium azide and 50% glycerol, and is unconjugated for direct detection in standard western blot and immunohistochemistry workflows.

PIN1 is a peptidyl-prolyl cis-trans isomerase that targets phosphorylated Ser/Thr-Pro motifs, and Aurora kinase-dependent modification at S16 has been examined in the context of mitotic progression and oncogenic signaling. Published work has linked this phospho-site to cell cycle checkpoint control, tau phosphorylation relevant to Alzheimer's disease biology, and tumor research across several cancer types. The reagent shows reactivity with Human, Mouse and Rat samples, enabling comparative work across model systems and primary human tissues in basic and translational research laboratories.

Working dilution should be titrated empirically for each application; for western blot, typical starting dilutions fall in the 1:500 to 1:2000 range, while immunohistochemistry on paraffin-embedded tissue is commonly performed at 1:50 to 1:200. Store at -20°C in single-use aliquots to limit freeze-thaw cycles, and protect from light to preserve antibody integrity over the shelf life of the reagent.
