PIK3R2 (phosphoinositide 3-kinase regulatory subunit 2, also known as p85β) is the regulatory adapter that pairs with the p110 catalytic subunit to form the class IA PI3K heterodimer, and Antibodies.com supplies this mouse monoclonal reagent as 50 µL of unconjugated IgG, validated for Western blot detection of endogenous PIK3R2 in human, mouse, and rat samples.

Use of this antibody supports work on PI3K/AKT signaling downstream of receptor tyrosine kinases, insulin and growth factor responses, and neuronal development pathways in which altered PIK3R2 activity has been linked to overgrowth syndromes and several cancers. For Western blot, the antibody is incubated with transferred membrane under standard chemiluminescent detection conditions, and cross-reactivity across all three species lets researchers compare endogenous protein levels in cell lines, primary cultures, and tissue lysates on the same blot. The reagent is shipped frozen on dry ice and should be stored at -20 °C for longer-term use with brief 4 °C storage once thawed; preparing working aliquots will limit freeze-thaw cycles. Each vial is intended for research use only and is not validated for diagnostic or therapeutic applications.
