PIK3R2 (phosphoinositide 3-kinase regulatory subunit 2), also referred to as p85β, is a regulatory subunit of class IA phosphoinositide 3-kinase (PI3K). It binds the p110 catalytic subunit and modulates downstream AKT signaling, with documented roles in insulin signaling, neuronal development, and oncogenic pathways.

This unconjugated mouse monoclonal antibody from Antibodies.com is raised against PIK3R2 and validated for western blot. The IgG isotype reagent recognizes human, mouse, and rat PIK3R2, supporting comparative studies across species. Each vial contains 200 µl of antibody supplied as a research use only reagent for in vitro detection applications.

PIK3R2 is expressed across multiple tissues including brain, liver, and adipose tissue, and altered expression has been reported in glioblastoma, breast cancer, and insulin-resistant states. Researchers use this reagent to probe endogenous p85β levels, study PI3K pathway activation, and investigate isoform-specific functions distinct from the closely related PIK3R1 (p85α) regulatory subunit.
