The Antibodies.com polyclonal antibody targets PIK3C3 (also known as VPS34), a class III phosphatidylinositol 3-kinase that catalyzes the production of phosphatidylinositol 3-phosphate (PI3P) at endosomal and autophagosomal membranes. Raised in rabbit as a polyclonal IgG preparation, this unconjugated reagent is supplied in a 200 µl volume and is validated for western blot (WB) and immunohistochemistry (IHC) workflows on human and mouse samples.

PIK3C3 functions as the catalytic core of multi-subunit complexes involved in membrane trafficking, phagophore biogenesis, and autophagy initiation, frequently partnering with BECN1 (Beclin-1) and the regulatory subunit p150/VPS15 to drive autophagosome formation. Researchers investigating nutrient-sensing signaling, endosome maturation, cargo sorting, or autophagy flux use this reagent to track expression changes under stress, starvation, or pharmacological inhibition by compounds such as wortmannin, SAR405, or VPS34-IN1.

For western blot, resolve whole-cell lysates under standard reducing SDS-PAGE conditions and detect with HRP- or fluorescently-labeled secondary reagents. For IHC, apply to formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue following appropriate antigen retrieval. Aliquot the antibody upon first use to limit freeze-thaw cycles and store refrigerated for repeated experiments. Research use only.
