Anti-PIGR Antibody

An affinity-purified polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com raised in rabbit against the human polymeric immunoglobulin receptor (PIGR). The unconjugated IgG is supplied as a 100 µl vial and supports western blot, immunohistochemistry, immunofluorescence, and flow cytometry workflows on human samples. As a research-use reagent, it enables detection of PIGR expressed on mucosal epithelial cells, where the receptor mediates basolateral-to-apical transcytosis of polymeric IgA and IgM and is cleaved at the luminal surface to release the secretory component into mucosal secretions.

Investigators studying gut, respiratory, or mammary gland epithelium use this reagent to profile PIGR expression across tissue sections, track transcytosis in polarized epithelial model systems, or stratify expression in tumor specimens. Pairing a single antibody lot across WB, IHC, IF, and FC read-outs allows internal consistency across platforms within the same study.
