The PIASx protein, encoded by the PIAS2 gene, functions as a SUMO E3 ligase that modulates transcription factor activity, chromatin organization, and the DNA damage response through targeted protein sumoylation. This unconjugated rabbit polyclonal reagent from Antibodies.com binds endogenous PIASx and is validated for western blot and ELISA workflows across human, mouse, rat, and monkey samples. The antibody is provided as a 100 µl liquid aliquot and supports research into JAK-STAT signaling, interferon-driven transcriptional control, and tumor suppressor regulation where PIAS family members are implicated. Because the polyclonal format recognizes multiple epitopes, it can detect both the PIASxα and PIASxβ isoforms in cell and tissue lysates, making it a practical choice for immunoblotting band-shift studies, chromatin immunoprecipitation follow-up, and plate-based antigen detection assays.
